About This Call
Risewell Homes, in partnership with the City of Dublin, invites qualified artists and artist teams to submit qualifications for a major public art project at The Dublin Centre development. The overall public art project budget is approximately $1 million, with a minimum of 75% allocated directly to artwork, including the selected artist's commission, fabrication, and installation. This RFQ represents the first step in a four-phased selection process. Installation is anticipated as early as Q4 2027.
The proposed art will be located within a new mixed-use 50-acre development that includes 500 residences, up to 38,000 SF of retail/commercial space, an approximately 2-acre public park, and future affordable housing with up to 100 units. The architecture within this project has a modern style.
Applicants must be 18 years or older, reside in the United States, and be legally authorized to work in the US. Artist teams are eligible, including teams of artists from multiple disciplines or artist-led teams with non-artist members. RFQ responses must include: a letter of interest demonstrating understanding of the project context; a portfolio of at least three built, constructed, or installed works with evidence of at least three successfully completed public art commissions; artist's philosophy and approach; proposed medium(s) and technical ability; demonstrated ability to work with construction trades and design professionals; CV; evidence of $2 million commercial general liability insurance; evidence of worker's compensation insurance; and bonding ability if self-performing/fabricating. Work samples should include a minimum of 9 and maximum of 25 images, with up to 5 audio and 5 video files permitted. Questions are due by February 13, 2026, with RFQ responses due by March 6, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PST.
