About This Call

The Dr. Ivan L. Boyd Arboretum Exhibition is open to all artists 18 and over. Original works of art only (no giclees or reproductions). Baker University faculty, staff and students are ineligible to apply.

Artists may submit 3 work samples for $40.00. Up to 5 work samples can be submitted for an additional $5.00 per image. Submit 3-5 images total. Application deadline is 8/31/2024. Notification of acceptance will be sent 9/6/2024. Accepted works must be delivered no later than 9/24/2024. The exhibition runs 10/4/2024–11/1/2024, with an artists reception on 10/4/2024 from 4-6pm where award winners will be announced. Accepted works will be returned between 11/4/2024–11/15/2024.

The Ivan L. Boyd Arboretum was formally established in 1978 on the campus of Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. The Arboretum's tree collection began with the founding of the University in 1858 and expanded significantly starting in 1874 with the planting of catalpas and maples. The Arboretum serves as both an aesthetic feature and educational resource for the University's students.
