The Crow Show 2023

The Crow Show 2023 is the ninth annual national exhibition of visual arts running from February 2 - March 10, 2023, produced by The Studio Door in San Diego. This exhibition celebrates the crow in reality and fantasy, accepting creative interpretations of all black birds, ravens, and other Corvus species. The show seeks to represent the many faces of the crow and what it means to artists across the nation.

Entry fee is $35 for one artwork, $40 for two artworks, or $45 for three artworks. Artists may submit 1-3 images of work. 2-D artwork must arrive gallery ready and ready to hang, preferably framed in black or natural wood with plexi (no glass). 3-D work must fit through an average doorway and not exceed 8 feet in height. The juror is Marie McGhee, Director of Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Art Institute. Three artists will receive a Juror's Award certificate and $100 check for the most imaginative interpretations of the theme.

Artists have two exhibition options: in-gallery at The Studio Door or online-only gallery, or both. All accepted works are eligible for Best in Show and will be included in the national exhibition catalog. A public reception is scheduled for Saturday, February 11, 2023, 6 PM - 9 PM. Shipped artwork must be received by January 27, 2023. Hand-delivery is available Saturday, January 28, 2023 (Noon - 6 PM). Artwork pickup is Saturday, March 11, 2023 (Noon - 6 PM). For accepted works, The Studio Door retains the right to photograph artwork for marketing and publicity. Sales are split 50/50 between artist and gallery. International artists may participate in the online gallery only.
