The Crow Show 2021

THE CROW SHOW 2021 is the seventh national annual exhibition of visual arts running from April 3-24, 2021, produced by The Studio Door. This exhibition seeks to represent the many faces of the Crow in reality and fantasy through creative interpretations of all black birds, ravens, and other Corvus species. The show accepts fine art in the following categories: painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, assemblage, collage, mixed media, fiber art, artist book, ceramics, stoneware, stain glass, and sculpture. Oversized jewelry that can be defined as fine art is acceptable. Video, film, installation, and works requiring an external electrical source require gallery approval before submission. All artwork must be the artist's original work and available for sale.

Entry consists of one to three submissions of images with a non-refundable entry fee of $35 for the initial entry and $5 for each additional work (1 work = $35; 2 works = $40; 3 works = $45). Submissions must be completed online through CAFÉ before March 1, 2021 at 10:59 PM PST. The juror, Andrew Utt (Executive Director of Lux Art Institute), will select works for both the physical gallery at The Studio Door in San Diego and an online gallery. All accepted works are eligible for Best in Show awards: three artists will receive a Juror's Award certificate and $100 check. Artists will be notified by March 6, 2021. Artwork must be received by March 26, 2021 for the exhibition. A public reception is planned for Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 6-9 PM. Sales will be split 60% to the artist and 40% to The Studio Door, with payment mailed within 30 days after the show closes. International artists are welcome to participate exclusively in the online portion of the exhibition.
