The Crow Show 2020

The Crow Show 2020 is the sixth annual exhibition of visual art running from March 6-28, 2020, produced by The Studio Door. The exhibition seeks to represent the many faces of the crow in reality and fantasy through creative interpretations of all black birds, ravens, and other Corvus species. Submissions must be the artist's original work and all artwork must be available for sale.

Accepted categories include fine art: painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, assemblage, collage, mixed media, fiber art, artist book, ceramics, stoneware, stained glass, and sculpture. Oversized jewelry that can be defined as fine art is acceptable. Video, film, installation, and works requiring an external electrical source require gallery approval. The exhibition does not accept jewelry or performance art. Entry fee is $35 for one work, $40 for two works, or $45 for three works. Submissions must include 1-3 images and be submitted through CAFÉ before January 27, 2020 at 11:59 PM PST.

The juror will select works for display at The Studio Door gallery in San Diego and for an online gallery. All accepted works are eligible for Best in Show, which awards three artists with a certificate and $100 check. Artists will be notified by February 1, 2020. Artwork must be received by February 28, 2020 or hand-delivered by February 29, 2020. A public reception is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 6-9 PM. Sales are split 60% to the artist and 40% to The Studio Door. International artists may participate exclusively in the online portion of the exhibition.
