The Contemporary Print 2016

PrintAustin invites artists to enter the 3rd annual juried national exhibition "The Contemporary Print" held at O2 Gallery at Flatbed Press Headquarters in Austin, Texas, January 9–February 20, 2016. The exhibition will survey traditions and innovations of contemporary printmaking. While non-traditional or digital output is accepted as a print element, submissions must utilize traditional print media as their primary technique including lithography, relief, intaglio, silkscreen, and monotype.

Eligibility: Open to artists 18 years and older residing in the United States. Any 2-D or 3-D work including ceramics, sculpture, mixed media and artists' books that uses printmaking as the sole or major technique. Work cannot exceed 72 inches in any direction. No traditional or digital photography. Works that have exhibited in past "The Contemporary Print" exhibitions are not eligible. Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 entries; $10 for each additional entry. Cash awards: 1st Prize $400, 2nd Prize $300, 3rd Prize $200. Submit 3–10 images via CallForEntry.org in JPEG format, minimum 1920 pixels on longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size. Entry deadline: November 1, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Email notifications sent by December 1, 2015. Opening reception and awards January 16, 6–8 p.m. Juror: Mary Heathcott, Executive Director of Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum.
