About This Call

H.D. Fowler is seeking artwork that explores the profound relationship between humans and the land. This theme encourages artists to interpret and showcase their perspectives on the beauty, significance, and intrinsic ties we share with the surrounding landscapes. Through various mediums and artistic styles, artists are invited to express how the theme can evoke emotion, reflection, and a sense of place.

The total budget for this art call is $15,000, allocated across three distinct areas within the Boise, Idaho branch. Up to three art pieces will be selected to fill these spaces: Area 1 (The Open Foyer) with maximum dimensions of 5 feet height x 4 feet width; Area 2 (The Customer Lounge) with maximum dimensions of 4 feet height x 6 feet width; and Area 3 (The Open Staircase) with maximum dimensions of 9 feet height x 6 feet width.

Submissions should include high-quality images of the proposed artwork along with the artist's name, contact information, a brief description of the piece's inspiration and connection to the theme, and how the artist has a connection to the Boise region. Submissions must include 1-5 images. The entry deadline is October 2, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Eligibility is limited to local artists in Washington state.
