About This Call
H.D. Fowler is seeking artwork that explores the profound relationship between humans and the land. This theme encourages artists to interpret and showcase their perspectives on the beauty, significance, and intrinsic ties we share with the landscapes that surround us. Through various mediums and artistic styles, artists are invited to express how the theme can evoke emotion, reflection, and a sense of place.
Artwork will be displayed in three distinct areas within the Olympia, WA branch. Area 1 (The Open Foyer) accommodates 1-3 pieces with maximum dimensions of 4 feet (height) X 6 feet (width). Area 2 (The Customer Service Counter) accommodates 1-3 pieces with maximum dimensions of 3 feet (height) X 3 feet (width). Area 3 (The Conference Room) accommodates 1-3 pieces with maximum dimensions of 4 feet (height) X 15 feet (width).
Submissions should include high-quality images of the proposed artwork (1-5 images), artist name, contact information, a brief description of the piece's inspiration and connection to the theme, and how the artist has a connection to the Olympia region. The total budget for this art call is $20,000, allocated across four distinct areas with potential allocations of $5,000 per area. Eligibility is limited to artists with a connection to the Olympia region. The submission deadline is November 10, 2023.
