The Color of Warmth

The Color of Warmth is a national call for art in all media, open to all artists aged 18 or older residing in the US. This winter exhibition focuses on the warm colors of the spectrum: Red, Orange, and Yellow. Artists are encouraged to submit artwork that works primarily with or highlights these colors in unique and powerful ways.

Entry Deadline: November 8, 2024 at 11:59 pm CST. Entry fee is $25 for the first three images, with a $5 media fee for each additional image up to 10 images total. Submit up to 10 JPEG digital images (1000-1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 PPI/dpi, 5 MB maximum). Exhibition dates are January 3-31, 2025, with an opening reception on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 6:30 pm at Webster Arts Gallery, 2 Summit Avenue, Webster Groves, MO 63119.

The exhibit considers all mediums except video. All wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" x 48". Wall works on paper must be framed. Three-dimensional works must not exceed 32" x 32" x 60" or weigh more than 50 pounds. All work must be original conception and execution of the artist listed on the application; no reproductions or previously exhibited work at Webster Arts gallery. Selected works must be shipped to or dropped off at Webster Arts by December 20, 2024. An independent juror will select work for inclusion and award cash prizes ($250 Best in Show, one $100 Award of Excellence). Sales are encouraged, with Webster Arts receiving a 30% commission on exhibition sales. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and return postage. All artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through pickup by carrier.
