About This Call
The Color of Light is an exhibition at Carrollwood Cultural Center running February 4–28, 2026. The exhibition is open to all living artists within the State of Florida who are 15 years old and older. Original artwork in 2D and limited 3D formats are accepted, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, assemblage, encaustic, mixed media, sculpture, photography, quilts, fiber, and abstract work. Artwork must be between 8 x 10 inches and 50 inches in any direction. As a family-friendly public venue, the center does not accept work depicting blatant violence, guns, nudity, or controversial content that could be considered offensive or political.
Submissions must be high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should be cropped to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background distractions, and must be oriented correctly. Limited pedestals are available for 3-dimensional works; artists should inquire about availability. Very heavy pieces may require special handling. Framing guidelines will be sent via email.
The entry deadline is January 19, 2026. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by the deadline. Artwork not picked up by the final date will be auctioned off or donated to charity. For questions, contact Willow Wright at [email protected].
