The Chautauqua National Juried Exhibition: Transformations

The Chautauqua National Juried Exhibition: Transformations is open to any artist 18 years or older. All entries must be original work in any medium except video. The entry fee is $35 for up to three entries.

Work specifications: Maximum size is 55" in any dimension. All work must be suitable for presentation or framed. Wall pieces must have appropriate hardware for hanging. Plexiglas glazing only is permitted; the director will exclude work that does not conform to this standard. Work previously exhibited in Giles Gallery is not permitted. Any accepted work that differs significantly from the entered image may be disqualified. Note that gallery walls are carpet-covered ¾" plywood, which may affect transparent pieces.

Important dates: Entry deadline is 11/21/17. Hand-delivered work drop-off is 01/13/18 from 1:00-4:00 PM. Last date for receipt of all accepted work is 01/16/18. Exhibition opens 01/22/18 with a reception from 5:00-7:00 PM on 01/25/18. Exhibition closes 02/16/18. Hand-delivered work pick-up is 02/17/18 from 1:00-4:00 PM. Shipped work will be returned in its original container with prepaid label. Do not use Styrofoam peanuts or equivalents in packing. Do not use US Postal Service; UPS is the preferred carrier. If FedEx is used, the artist is responsible for contacting the carrier to retrieve work. Giles Gallery does not take a commission on art sales and will put interested parties in contact with each other.
