The Chautauqua National Exhibition: Strategizing

Eastern Kentucky University's Chautauqua Lecture Series and Department of Art & Design are sponsoring a juried exhibition on the theme of Strategizing. Any two- or three-dimensional work incorporating an interpretation of this theme is eligible. Any artist 18 years or older may enter work in any medium except video. All entries must be original work by the artist. The entry fee is $25 for up to three pieces. Each artist may submit 1-3 images (JPEG format, 1920x1920 pixels, 72 ppi). Work must be suitable for presentation or framed, with a maximum size of 72 inches in any dimension. Wall pieces must have appropriate hardware for hanging and plexiglas glazing only. The director will exclude work that does not conform to these standards or that differs significantly from the entered image.

The exhibition runs from January 26 through February 20, 2015, with a reception on January 29 from 5:00-7:00 PM. The juror is Jason Franz, Co-founder, Executive Director, and Chief Curator at Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio. Hand-delivered work may be dropped off January 10 from 1:00-4:00 PM, with a final receipt deadline of January 17. All shipped work will be returned in its original container with a prepaid label. Pick-up for hand-delivered work is February 21 from 1:00-4:00 PM.
