The Body

This is an open call to artists for an exhibition at Site:Brooklyn Gallery in Brooklyn, New York. The exhibition runs March 15 – April 13, 2019, with an opening reception on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 6-9 PM. The exhibition is juried by Benjamin Sutton, an art critic, journalist, and curator who is the News Editor at Artsy.

The exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older working in drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, wall mounted sculpture, collage, and video. Only original works may be submitted. The entry fee is $35.00 for up to three images, with an additional $10 fee for each additional image. Artists may submit up to 12 images and 3 videos (minimum 3 total samples required). All entries must be received by January 30, 2019 at 11:59 PM MT. Notification of acceptance will be sent February 8, 2019.

Maximum artwork size is 60" X 60" X 12" D. All artwork must be suitably framed to a professional standard using Plexiglas (except hand-delivered work less than 24" x 30"). Assemblage, canvas, and wood panels do not require frames. Work must be wired or have a cleat attachment and ready for hanging. A label must be affixed to the back indicating artist name, title, medium, dimensions, price, and which end is the top. All artwork must be priced for sale. Site:Brooklyn retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales. Artists are responsible for delivery and return shipping of artwork and assume all responsibility for insuring against shipping damage or loss. Artwork cannot be withdrawn or sales shipped before the end of the exhibit.
