THE BIG BITE: A Call for Artists Who Go For It

Some artists nibble around the edges. Others take a big, unapologetic bite. The Lab on Santa Fe is calling on artists who aren’t afraid to sink their teeth into something strange, beautiful, excessive, uncomfortable, hilarious, or downright impossible to ignore. What does it mean to go for it? Is it a matter of scale? Appetite? An outrageous idea executed with extraordinary precision? Or something so small and peculiar that it somehow swallows the room? We’re interested in work that takes risks, challenges expectations, and refuses to play it safe. All styles, subjects, and mediums are welcome. The Big Bite isn’t about what you make. It’s about the hunger behind it. Show us what happens when you bite off more than you can chew. Located in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe, The Lab on Santa Fe offers tremendous visibility through First Friday Art Walks that are the largest in the state along with high likelihood of sales and collector interest.
