The Betsy Price Citywide High School Art Competition 2015

The Betsy Price Citywide High School Art Competition 2015 is open to high school students from participating schools in the Fort Worth area. The exhibition runs May 3–May 29, 2015. Jurors are Andrea Karnes, curator at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and Benito Huerta, Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington and Director/Curator of The Gallery at UTA.

Eligibility: Works must be 2-D (no photography), original, and completed within the last two years. All works must be available through the entire run of the show and cannot be sold or exhibited elsewhere during the competition timeframe. Two-dimensional works cannot exceed 48" in height or width, including frame. Participating schools include Fort Worth All Saints, Trinity Valley School, Fort Worth Country Day, Arlington Heights, Western Hills, Paschal, Aledo, Brewer, FW Academy of Fine Art, Southwest, Trimble Tech, Southwest Christian School, Carter Riverside, Polytechical, Eastern Hills and South Hills, Temple Christian East and West, Fort Worth Academy, Fort Worth Christian, Tarrant Youth Recovery, Tarrant County JJAEP or Juvenile Justice Alternative Ed, Diamond Hill, Dunbar, North Side High, OD Wyatt, Polytech, Oakridge, Nolan, Covenant Classical, Calvary Christian, Hill School of Fort Worth, Starpoint, Lake Country Christian, Fellowship Christian, West Academy, Anderson Gifted & Talented, and Travis Academy of Fine Art.

Submissions: Up to three digital images of different artworks may be submitted via CaFÉ with no entry fee. Each work must be represented by only one image. Juror selections will be announced via email and the CaFÉ website during the second week of April, no later than April 17, 2015. All 2-D works must have hangers or be wired for hanging and must be delivered by March 27, 2015. Awards: 1st - $5,000; 2nd - $3,000; 3rd - $1,000.
