The Benton Winter 2024 Exhibition

The Benton is accepting submissions from Associated Artists of Winston-Salem (AAWS) members for a winter exhibition. Members may submit up to 6 artworks with possible selection of up to 4 pieces. The entry fee is $20 per artist for up to 6 works.

All 2-dimensional fine art media are accepted, including hand-pulled prints, original digital prints, and photographs. Work must be original, professionally framed with no visible staples or unpainted canvas, and works on paper must be protected by glass or plexiglass. No piece should exceed 50 pounds in weight. The Benton does not accept nudes or controversial work (nothing political, religious, or potentially offensive). All work must be the exhibitor's original idea created by the exhibitor. Printed reproductions are not accepted. Previously entered work that was not selected may be resubmitted, but work previously displayed at the Benton cannot be entered again.

Submit high-quality JPEG images at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork with no visible matting, frames, or background. Images should be oriented correctly and well-lit without glare. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by the deadline. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline, and incomplete entries will be disqualified.
