The Bedford ArtsFest 2016

The City of Bedford in collaboration with the Bedford Cultural Commission presents ArtsFest, a family-friendly festival to promote and celebrate the arts in Bedford. The fourth annual Bedford ArtsFest will take place April 2, 2016 at the Bedford Boys Ranch Park in the heart of the city's cultural district. This single-day event features artists, musicians, and performers who contribute to the vibrant heritage of the North Texas region, along with food vendors and musical entertainers. Public admission is free with free parking.

Artists approved by the jury will have the opportunity to exhibit and sell art indoors in the designated Juried area. Booth spaces are available: Single Booth Space (10'x10') for $50 or Double Booth Space (10'x20') for $100. Check-in and setup is April 2 at 7:00am, with setup completed by 9:00am. Strike and cleanup must be completed by 10:00pm.

Entry fee is $10 (non-refundable). Submit four color, high-resolution digital images (JPG) of current work and one image of your booth with no visible name or logo through www.callforentry.org. If you do not have a booth image, submit an additional piece of work. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Application deadline is February 22, 2016 at 5:00pm MST. Acceptance notification will be sent March 1, 2016. Artist confirmation of acceptance is due by March 8, 2016 at 11:59pm. Booth fees must be paid in full by March 15, 2016 at 5:00pm; withdrawal requests after this date incur a $25 cancellation fee with no refund on booth fees.

Jury selection is by professional artists based on principles and elements of design, quality of technique, execution, materials, originality of work, and booth appearance. Awards include Best of Show ($300), Runner Up ($200), Second Runner Up ($100), and three Best of Shows for K-12 Students ($50 each). The host hotel is the Holiday Inn of Bedford.
