About This Call
Juried Art Exhibition & Annual Holiday Party held Saturday, December 14, 2024, 6-8:30 p.m. The show runs December 9, 2024 through January 22, 2025. Work will be hung December 13 with award presentation and holiday party on December 14.
Jurors include Cathy Lawson, artist and art faculty member at Hinds Community College; Steve Martin, represented in over one thousand corporate, private and museum collections; and Gene Meneray, cofounder of The Ella Project and director of the Louisiana Crafts Guild. Awards include $1,000 Best in Show, $500 Purchase Award, $500 2nd Place, $250 3rd Place, and $100 Honorable Mention by class.
Accepted media includes Mixed Media (any medium with applied application), Sculpture (glass, ceramic, stone, found objects, paper mache, metals, fiber, wood—any 3D media), Painting (watercolor, oils, acrylic, encaustic, mixed media), and Drawing (pencil, crayon, charcoal, pastel, colored pencil, graphite, any dry source medium). Photography and printmaking are not supported. 2D work must not exceed 40" x 40". 3D sculpture must not exceed 4' in height or 2' in depth. Entry fee is $25 for the first work, $10 for each additional work (maximum 3 pieces per artist). Artists receive an 80/20 percentage split on sales. Artists are responsible for shipping work to and from the venue and must deliver art in reusable packing with return shipping. Work not sold or marked not for sale will be returned. Submission deadline is November 22, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Submit high-resolution JPG or PDF files to [email protected].
