The Artists Body

Studio Duo presents The Artists Body, a juried exhibition of works by lens-based artists whose process explores physical experience. This is the first in a series of exhibits that takes the body as point of departure. The inaugural guest juror is Justine Kurland.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years of age or older working in lens-based media. Submissions must include 5-10 images. Entry fee is $20 for the first five images, plus $10 for each additional image up to ten. Only original works may be submitted. A completed application consists of name, contact information, images, and text for each image including title, year completed, medium, and dimensions. All entries must be received by midnight, April 12, 2017. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Notification of acceptance will be made via email by April 17, 2017. A return confirmation of participation is required by April 20, 2017 to hold a spot in the exhibition. All accepted work must be suitably framed or presented to a professional standard and ready for hanging. Work must be priced for sale. Gallery exhibition dates are May 11-21, 2017, with an opening reception on Thursday, May 11 from 6-8 PM. Shipped artwork must arrive by May 4, 2017. Hand-delivered work must be removed by the artist on May 22 or 23, 2017. Studio Duo retains a 30% commission on all exhibition sales. The artist assumes all responsibility for insuring artwork against shipping damage or loss.
