The Artistic Celebration of Food

Cape Fear Studios presents "The Artistic Celebration of Food," a juried competition open to all artists 18 or older in the United States. The exhibit will be on display from October 28th through November 22nd, 2022, in the Cape Fear Studios Main Gallery at 148 Maxwell Street, Fayetteville, NC.

Artists may submit up to two 2D and 3D entries. Works must be completed in the past 2 years, not previously exhibited in Cumberland County, NC, and must be for sale. Accepted media includes all 2D painting and drawing media, hand-pulled prints, and collage. Works may not exceed 36 x 36 inches including frame and must be properly wired for hanging. Photographs, recolored image transfers, and digitally produced images will not be accepted. Entry fee is $35 for one piece and $15 for a second piece.

Accepted works must be shipped or hand-delivered between October 14-18, 2022. The final judging will be done by two local chefs and restaurateurs. Awards include Best of Show ($500), First Place ($300), Second Place ($200), and Third Place ($100). The reception and awards ceremony is Friday, October 28th, 2022, from 6-8 pm. Artists are responsible for insurance and shipping costs. Cape Fear Studios retains a 30% commission on any sales. Accepted/declined notifications will be posted by Wednesday, September 28th, 2022.
