The Art & Science of Botanical Illustration

View Center For Arts and Culture in the Adirondacks is holding a juried exhibition of botanical art and illustration. This exhibition explores the beauty and unique qualities of plants, trees, leaves, roots, and fungi, offered in conjunction with related themed exhibitions.

Artists are invited to submit botanical art and illustration of plants or fungi depicted accurately, reflecting an intimate knowledge and understanding and meeting a high aesthetic standard. The exhibition is open to all artists working in the botanical art and illustration style. Accepted mediums include watercolor, colored pencil, ink, and graphite. Maximum size is 38" in any direction. All work must be framed in a simple frame to emphasize the artwork and be ready to hang.

Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 images, with an additional $5.00 for each additional image up to a maximum of 5 entries. Artwork previously shown at View is not eligible. All entries must be of original design and personal execution created within the past 2 years. All work must be able to be moved/placed by one person. Notification of acceptance: 10/21/22.
