The Art of Golf Juried Art Show

Red Springs Artspace announces a call for artists for "The Art of Golf," a regional juried exhibition. The exhibition will be held June 8-18, 2024 at Red Springs Artspace, 200 S. Main Street in Red Springs, NC, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The opening award reception is Friday, June 7th, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This exhibition coincides with the US Open taking place June 13-16 in nearby Pinehurst.

All works, whether figurative or abstract, must take golf as their theme to be eligible for prizes. Awards include 1st Place: $1,000, 2nd Place: $500, and 3rd Place: $250. Online registration is open March 1 through May 15, 2024. Physical artwork submissions are due May 30, 2024, and must be delivered in person to Red Springs Artspace between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Art removal is June 20, 2024 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Artwork not picked up by 4 p.m. on June 28, 2024 may be subject to additional fees or become the property of Red Springs Artspace.

2D artwork must not exceed 20 lbs. or 5 feet in any direction and must be securely wired and professionally mounted. 3D artwork must not exceed 30 lbs. or 2 feet in diameter and must be displayable on a pedestal; sculptures up to 5 feet tall that stand safely on the floor are acceptable. Unstable sculptures requiring special mounting, suspension, or electrical connections will not be accepted. All entries must be for sale and remain in the show until pickup. Artists must have sole ownership and deliver artwork personally; shipped or mailed art will not be accepted. Eligibility is open to artists 18 years and older. Artwork must be original in conception, composition, and implementation; no prints or reproductions. Entry fee is $40. Jurying and judging are anonymous, and the judge's decision is final.
