About This Call
The Art Department, Paisley invites artists to submit work for an exhibition running from 29 August to 14 November 2026 at 9-11 Causeyside Street, Paisley PA1 1UW. Submissions are open from 1 March to 31 May 2026. A total of 6 works can be submitted per artist in any medium or genre. All qualifying works are considered equally regardless of experience level, and will be reviewed by a Selection Panel of experienced artists using a jury voting system. Artists will be notified of acceptance by mid-June 2026.
Hand-in takes place 20 July - 1 August 2026 (9:30am-4pm). Artworks must be brought to the venue or sent by courier, securely packaged. All works should be fitted with mirror plates or string for hanging. Once hung, pieces will be numbered and labeled with artist name, title, price, and a QR code linking to the artist's bio. A Launch Party will be held on 29 August from 12noon-9pm (ticketed, invitations sent to participating artists).
Artwork prices are set by artists, with guidance available from the gallery. Sales take place in the gallery only. The Art Department takes a 30% commission plus 20% VAT on the commission element only. Artists will be paid within six weeks of the exhibition closing. Hand-back of unsold work is 16-28 November 2026 (9:30am-3:30pm). Artworks may be held in storage for up to 30 days after hand-back, after which uncollected work may be sold or disposed of.
