The Art Department Gallery Exhibition 2025

This exhibition at The Art Department - Gallery 1 (9-11 Causeyside Street, Paisley PA1 1UW) invites artists to submit work of any medium or genre. A total of 3 works can be submitted per artist. All qualifying works are considered equally regardless of experience level, and will be evaluated by a Selection Panel of experienced artists using a jury voting system where each artwork receives an average score to determine acceptance.

Submissions close 31 October 2025, with selected artists notified by 4 November 2025. Hand-in dates are 18-22 November 2025, and the exhibition opens 1 December 2025 and closes 20 December 2025. Hand-back is 6-10 January 2026. A Launch Party will be held on 1 December 2025 with no tickets required.

Artworks should be fitted with mirror plates or string for hanging. Sale prices are set by artists, and The Art Department takes a 30% commission plus VAT on the commission amount. Artists will be paid their remittances no later than 28 days after the exhibition closes. Sales take place in the gallery only; online sales are not available.
