The Art at the Center National Juried Exhibition 2017

The 2017 Overland Park Art at the Center Juried Exhibition features all manner of art including painting, photography, sculpture, collage, textiles, and digitally altered photography. The exhibition runs April 7 through June 12, 2017, with an opening reception on Friday, April 7, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The juror is David Beal.

Entry fee is $25 for up to 4 images. Artists may submit a minimum of 1 and maximum of 4 images. All work submitted must be for sale unless otherwise noted. A 25% gallery commission and sales taxes apply. Awards sponsored by the Friends of Overland Park Arts include: Best of Show ($2,000), Second Place ($1,000), Third Place ($500), three Honorable Mention Awards ($250 each), six Juror Choice Awards ($50 each), and a People's Choice Award ($200) selected at the opening reception.

Art at the Center is a not-for-profit gallery space located in Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, 11902 Lowell Ave. (119th & Lowell), Overland Park. Gallery hours: Mon.-Fri. 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sat. 7 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sun. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. The gallery is closed on Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Admission is free. Artwork must be received ready to display. Framed art must weigh no more than 30 lbs. Hanging wire must be at least 100# weight (#3 wire). Strip framing and saw tooth hangers are forbidden. Stretched canvas may be unframed only if sides are painted (gallery wrap). The City of Overland Park will not assume liability for loss or damage associated with shipping but does insure the exhibition against loss and damage. Artists have 10 days to submit a written claim and three bids for repair.
