THE ALBUM (Vol.1) | Photography Exhibition + Publication

THE ALBUM is an exhibition and publication that explores the influence of photography on contemporary art, including its roles in cultural commentary, documentation, journalism, and political and historical narratives. The exhibition celebrates photography's versatility across genres including pop art, nature, cityscapes, and landscapes.

THE ALBUM Vol.1 is a year-long online exclusive exhibition running from January 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025. Artists and artworks will be reviewed and added monthly. Selected artists and work will be featured on the Dab Art Co. website and on ARTSY, an international sales platform that receives 2.2 million+ unique visitors monthly. Photographers selected for solo exhibitions will receive a feature and spread in the publication, a 3-month online exclusive solo exhibition, and an artist interview released on the Gallery Podcast.

Selected artists will be featured in a hardcover photography book. Every artist selected for exhibition receives a free digital copy of the publication. The publication will be donated to The Fine Arts Library at the University of Texas at Austin and the LACMA Balch Art Research Library in Los Angeles for permanent collection. The gallery retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales. Sales remittance to artists will be provided within 5-7 business days of finalized sale and payment receipt. Submissions must include at least 5 images, biography, and artist statement. All work selected must remain available for sale for the duration of the project. Entry fee is $45.00 plus $5.00 media fee. Submit 5-20 images. All photographic mediums are accepted. International eligibility.
