The 39th Annual Best of Colorado Show at the Depot Art Gallery

The 39th Annual Best of Colorado Show at the Depot Art Gallery invites original works created by Colorado artists. The exhibition runs from August 8 to September 9, 2023, at the Depot Art Gallery, 2069 W. Powers Ave., Littleton, Colorado 80120. Over $2,450 in cash prizes will be awarded, including $1,000 for Best of Show, with additional prizes for Second, Third, and three Honorable Mentions. The Awards Ceremony will be held at the Show Reception on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Eligibility requirements: Only original works created within the last three years by Colorado artists are accepted. Artwork cannot have been accepted in previous All Colorado at the Depot competitions. All artwork must be for sale, with the Depot Art Gallery retaining a 30% commission on sales. Wall-hanging artwork is limited to 30" in both height and width (including framing) and must weigh less than 25 pounds. Three-dimensional hanging works cannot exceed 20" in any direction and must not weigh more than 25 pounds. Acceptable media includes traditional and digital photography, paintings, collage, jewelry, sculpture, ceramics, fiber/textile, mixed media, wood, and glass. Giclée prints and images produced by artificial intelligence programs are not permitted.

Entry fee is $35 for two images; a third image may be submitted for an additional $10 media fee. Entries must be submitted through CaFÉ between June 1 and midnight June 30, 2023. Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered only on Sunday, August 6, 2023, between 9am-12pm. Artwork must be professionally presented with appropriate framing or finished edges, D-rings and sturdy wire for hanging, and clear labeling with artist's name and work title on the back. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by July 17, 2023. Unsold artwork must be picked up by 4pm on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
