The 2025 Kit Gilbert Juried Showcase

The 2025 Kit Gilbert Juried Showcase is an annual exhibition honoring Kit Gilbert, a beloved Ruston artist whose creative spirit and impactful work left a lasting legacy in the community. The showcase celebrates creativity, innovation, and technical excellence, with submissions open to artists 18 years or older residing in the United States. All original artwork created since 2020 is welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, textile, digital art, ceramics, 3D works, and video (5 minutes maximum). Artwork generated by artificial intelligence will not be accepted.

Submissions are accepted beginning July 21, 2025, with a deadline of October 6, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time. Entry fee is $12 per artwork with a maximum of three entries per artist. Artists may submit 1-3 work samples (images and/or videos). Selected artists will be notified on October 20, 2025. Artwork delivery is November 3-7, 2025, and the exhibition runs November 17, 2025 through January 9, 2026, with an opening reception on November 20, 2025 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Juror Sarah Nguyen, a mixed media artist based in Columbia, Missouri, will select works for the exhibition. Two awards will be presented: Juror's Choice/Best-in-Show ($750) and People's Choice ($500, voted by visitors at the opening reception). All 2D works must be ready to hang upon arrival with appropriate hanging hardware. 3D works have a maximum size of 84" height with a 36" x 36" footprint and 150 lbs weight limit. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup of artwork. The Gilbert Center retains a 30% commission on any works sold, with payment to artists within one month of the exhibition's close.
