The 2018 LA OPEN

TAG Gallery presents the 2018 LA OPEN, a juried exhibition for artists in the greater Los Angeles area. This exhibition will be displayed on Museum Row, home to four major Los Angeles museums, from December 18, 2017 through January 20, 2018. The exhibition aims to showcase diverse styles of work and encourage dialogue among varied artistic approaches. All accepted work will be available for sale.

The exhibition is open to artists 18 years and older in the greater Los Angeles area working in Computer Art, Mixed Media, Painting, Printmaking, Photography, and Sculpture. Entries are limited to a maximum of six works completed since 2013 and not previously shown at TAG Gallery. Work must be original and unsold. No video, film, installations, or artwork requiring special installation or assembly will be accepted. The juror is Fabian Debora, an artist and substance abuse counselor at Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles.

Entry fee is $25 for the first three entries, with additional entries at $5 each (maximum six entries). Submissions must be made online at www.callforentry.org by December 1, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Image requirements: JPEG format only, minimum 1920 pixels on longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size. Accepted artists will receive instructions for hand delivery; no shipped work will be accepted. Hanging works are limited to 60" height and 36" width (including frame) and may not exceed 30 lbs. Sculptures are limited to 48" height x 20" depth and may not exceed 40 lbs. including base. Awards: First Place $300, Second Place $200, Third Place $100, and three Honorable Mentions.
