About This Call
This exhibition is open to Regular Members, Signature Members, and new members of ASMA. Fellows of ASMA are not eligible. Members must be current on dues prior to entry. Non-members can participate by first becoming an ASMA member.
Artists may submit up to 5 works. Entry fees are $35 for the first artwork and $10 for each additional work. Artwork must be original and created within the last three years. Previously shown work, sold work, and unsold work are all eligible. Subject matter should be inspired by water, including vessels, waterways, coastal scenes, and marine life in all its forms. Accepted media include all painting mediums, drawings, pastel, sculpture, and scrimshaw. Digital artwork will not be accepted.
Submissions must be high-quality JPEG files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should show only the artwork itself without visible matting, frames, or background distractions, and must be oriented correctly. Awards include Best in Show ($3000), 2nd place ($1500), 3rd place ($500), and 5 Merit awards ($200 each). Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by the entry deadline of September 16, 2024. For questions, contact Russ Kramer at [email protected].
