The 17th Annual Lone Tree Art Expo

The 17th Annual Lone Tree Art Expo is presented by the City of Lone Tree and the Lone Tree Arts Commission. This juried exhibition runs September 19th – November 26th, 2018 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, 10075 Commons Street, Lone Tree, Colorado, 80124. The 2018 juror is Doug Kacena.

Artists may submit up to three pieces of artwork in the following categories: Painting (oil, acrylic, tempera), Drawing (pastel, pencil, charcoal), Watercolor, Mixed Media, and Sculpture. Artwork must be original in concept, completed within the last two years (2016-2018), and not previously shown in a Lone Tree art exhibition. Artwork must be available for purchase and remain on display through the duration of the exhibit. Three-dimensional artwork cannot exceed 18" and must not weigh more than 75 pounds. Two-dimensional media cannot exceed 48", must be a minimum of 12", and cannot weigh more than 40 pounds. All work must be dropped off in person on Tuesday, September 18th between 7:30am – 10:30am and picked up on Tuesday, November 27th between 7:30am – 10:30am.

Entry fee is $35 (non-refundable). Artists must submit 1-3 JPEG images via CaFÉ™ by August 31st, 2018. Artwork must be framed and ready to hang on the Arakawa Hanging System with a taut picture wire on the back (3D excluded). Gallery-wrapped canvas with no exposed staples or tacks will be accepted only if properly wired for hanging. A label must be attached to the back identifying artist, title, category, and price. Artists will receive email notification on September 4th, 2018 regarding acceptance. The opening reception is September 26th, 2018 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Awards include Best of Show, Commissioner's Choice, and First and Second Place in each category. Winners receive gallery space at the Lone Tree Arts Center from November 27th – January 8th.
