The 15th Annual Lone Tree Art Expo

The 15th Annual Lone Tree Art Expo is a juried exhibition presented by the City of Lone Tree and the Lone Tree Arts Commission, running September 14 - November 13, 2016 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, 10075 Commons Street, Lone Tree, Colorado, 80124. The opening reception is Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

Artists may submit up to three pieces of artwork in the following categories: Painting (oil, acrylic, tempera), Drawing (pastel, pencil, charcoal), Watercolor, Mixed Media (collage or combination of any media), and Sculpture (cannot exceed 15"). Artwork must be original in concept, designed and executed by the artist, completed within the last three years, and not previously shown in a Lone Tree art exhibition. Artwork must be available for purchase and non-offensive to a general audience of all ages. Two-dimensional media cannot exceed 48", must be a minimum of 12", and cannot weigh more than 25 pounds. Three-dimensional artwork cannot exceed 15" and cannot weigh more than 75 pounds. The entry fee is $35 (non-refundable). Artwork must be hand-delivered during drop-off on September 13, 2016, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and retrieved during pick-up on November 14, 2016, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. No art shipments will be accepted.

Awards include Best of Show, Commissioner's Choice, and First and Second Place in each category, with cash awards presented by juror Brian DeLevie. Winners of Best of Show and First and Second Place in each category will be awarded gallery space at the Lone Tree Arts Center following the Art Expo. A 20% sales commission applies to all sales. Artwork must be ready to hang on the Arakawa Hanging System with wire on the back. A label must be attached to the back identifying artist, title, category, and price.
