Textures

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the 'Textures' exhibit at the Kavanagh Gallery of Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles, Illinois. The exhibit runs July 12–August 9, 2019. Artwork should have texture as one of its most defining characteristics. The show is open to all mediums and will be curated by the Kavanagh Gallery Committee.

Eligibility and Requirements: Artists must be at least 18 years old. Up to 3 pieces may be submitted. Artwork must be original, completed within the last 3 years, and not previously shown at Fine Line. All work must be for sale. Images must be of the actual work to be exhibited (at least 100kb but no larger than 5mb). An artist statement limited to 1000 characters is required and will be displayed during the show. Entry fee is $35 (non-refundable). Artwork cannot exceed 48 inches x 32 inches x 6 feet when packed for shipping, with a maximum weight of 50 pounds.

Fine Line will handle all sales, sales tax, and provide a check to artists after the show ends. A 30% sales commission will be charged on any artwork sold. Fine Line is responsible for show installation, the opening reception (Friday, July 12, 6:00–8:00 PM), and sales. Attendance at the opening reception is strongly encouraged but not mandatory. Artists are responsible for shipping artwork to and from Fine Line and must include a return shipping label. Insurance during shipping is the artist's responsibility. Fine Line provides 24/7 security and insurance coverage from receipt of work until the end of the show (valued at 70% of sale price). Artwork must be picked up or shipped by August 10, 2019. Awards include one $100 Best of Show award and two non-monetary Awards of Merit. Jury decisions will be sent on or before June 1, 2019.
