Textile / Fiber Fine Arts

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the "Textile / Fiber Fine Arts" exhibit at R Gallery in Boulder, Colorado. This exhibition seeks to showcase a wide range of outstanding contemporary works related to the fiber medium. Artwork submitted should primarily be able to be hung on gallery walls, though there is limited space for works requiring free-standing or pedestal display. Pieces should be less than 30" wide including frame or case, with only a few spots available for pieces up to 48" wide.

Eligibility is limited to Colorado residents. All entries must be of original design and personal execution. Submissions should include 3-10 images of work samples. The entry fee is $35.00 for fiber art, plus a $5.00 media fee. You may submit multiple images, but typically only one piece per selected artist will be included in the exhibition. If submitting fewer than three artworks, duplicate images may be used to meet the minimum requirement.

The exhibition runs from May 26 through June 27. Notification of acceptance will be sent by May 6. Work drop-off is scheduled for May 20-23. All pieces must remain up for the duration of the exhibition and must be for sale. R Gallery charges a 50% commission on sales and will send payment to artists by the 15th of the month following the sale. Accepted works must arrive by the end of the drop-off period and will be shipped within 14 days of the exhibition close; a prepaid return label must be provided if sending work by carrier.
