Texas National Competition and Exhibition 2025

Texas National 2025 Art Competition & Exhibition is open to all artists working in the United States. Works may be of any medium except video and performance. All works must be original and completed within the last two years. The exhibition runs April 11 – June 22, 2025.

Submit one, two, or three digital images via CaFÉ for a $35 entry fee. Each work must be represented by only one image with no detail views or duplicates. Eligibility is national, and works of any medium are accepted except video and performance. Size limitations apply: two-dimensional works cannot exceed 48" in height or width including frame; three-dimensional works cannot exceed 60" in height, 24" in width, and 24" in depth. Crated or packaged work weight must not exceed 50 lbs. Works must be available through the entire run of the show and cannot be sold or shown elsewhere during the exhibition dates.

The juror is Susie Kalil, a former Core Fellow in Critical Studies at the Glassell School of Art and contributor to ArtNews, Art in America, Artforum, and Sculpture magazines. Awards include 1st place - $2,000; 2nd place - $1,000; 3rd place - $500; and Honorable Mentions. Juror selections will be announced via email and the CaFÉ website during the last week of February 2025. Accepted works must be shipped at the artist's expense, properly and securely packed, and arrive by March 25, 2025. Each reusable carton or crate must include a pre-paid return-shipping label with pre-paid insurance. Artists may hand-deliver or pick up work if arrangements are made in advance. Artworks without return shipping that are abandoned or not claimed by September 20, 2025, will become the property of Stephen F. Austin State University.
