Texas Jewish Arts Association 10th Anniversary Exhibition

The Texas Jewish Arts Association invites artists to submit work for its 10th Anniversary Exhibition themed around the Hebrew letter Yud (Yod) and the number 10. Artwork must address the show theme in some manner, with artists having complete freedom in their interpretation. Submissions may include 2D and 3D work: painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, and sculptural work are accepted. Up to 3 pieces of artwork may be submitted. Each submission requires a short artist statement explaining the artwork's relationship to the theme, which will be displayed alongside the work.

Entry fee is $35. Members and non-members may apply. Artwork will be juried by Nancy Cohen Israel based on quality and thematic relevance. Approximately 60-120 pieces may be chosen depending on submitted sizes. 2D artwork must have D-rings or wires (no sawtooth hangers) and weigh no more than 75 lbs. 3D artwork may use the venue's 13 plexiglass pedestals (12"x12", 150 lb weight limit) or artist-supplied pedestals in gallery-display condition. Floor sculpture is acceptable. The exhibition takes place at the Coppell Arts Center, 505 Travis Street, Coppell, Texas 75019, with load-in on Sunday, April 21, 2024 (4:00-6:00 pm) and load-out on Sunday, June 9, 2024 (4:00-6:00 pm). Shipped artwork must arrive by Wednesday, April 17, 2024. This is a sales opportunity; all sales proceeds go to the artist, though TJAA requests a 10% donation from artwork sold. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup of their work.
