About This Call
The 58th Annual Tempe Festival of the Arts takes place December 4-6, 2026, in Downtown Tempe along historic Mill Avenue. This juried show features approximately 325 artists from throughout North America and attracts around 50,000 guests per day. The festival includes live entertainment, roaming entertainment, wine and spirits tasting, and art-centered youth programming. Artists receive amenities including hospitality, booth sitting, a large art delivery assistance program, and 24-hour roaming security.
Applications are open through August 15, 2026. The jury fee is $35 (non-refundable). Booth fees vary based on location and size, ranging from $475-$805 for standard booths (10x10, 10x20, or 5x20 spaces with optional corner upgrades). Emerging artists pay a reduced booth fee of $275 and are located in a designated area on Maple Avenue. Artists are evaluated based on nine submitted images: six showing the full array of work, two showing tools/equipment/workspace, and one booth display image. The jury evaluates applicants on concept, workmanship, originality, design, and presentation across three rounds of scoring. Artists may only display and sell products similar to those submitted in their application.
The festival offers multiple discipline categories including Ceramics, Cottage Edibles & Crafts, Digital Art, Drawing, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metal, and Mixed Media. Each category has specific requirements regarding materials, production methods, and artist modifications. Emerging artists must be based in Arizona and are eligible for this category for two festivals combined. Cancellations received in writing on or before October 31, 2026, receive a refund less a $75 processing fee.
