About This Call
Telluride Arts' Community Program Grants operate on an annual basis, awarding one $2,500 grant to an artist within the Telluride region. This grant is designed to support community programming hosted within and intended for the Telluride community. Community benefit is at the heart of the program and must be clearly outlined in the application.
Applicants must live and/or work in the Telluride region. If you do not live or work in the region, you must explain your connection to the region or detail your local artist collaborators and their roles. There are no age limitations for applicants. TAAG applicants are limited to one submission per grant cycle; multiple applications by the same artist will not be considered. If an artist submits an application for a Professional Development grant, they will be ineligible to apply for additional TAAGs within the same calendar year, excepting Flash Grants.
Applications must include: Statement of Intention, Project Overview, Purpose of Funding, Community Benefit explanation, Project Budget, and Proof of Cost documentation. Work samples accepted include literary, photo, audio, or video content that you own the rights to. Minimum 2 work samples required (maximum 20 total: 1-10 images, 0-5 audio files, 0-5 video files). Applications must be submitted in the name of an individual artist; for collaborative projects, one artist must be the lead applicant. All TAAG funded projects must be shared with the Telluride community upon completion. If you have received previous funding from a TAAG or Augment Music Grant, all final reports for past projects must be completed and allocated funding dispersed prior to applying.
All applications undergo blind review by a rotating panel of jurors, with personal details and obvious indicators of applicant identity removed prior to review. Selection criteria include quality and artistic merit, creativity and innovation, evidence of need for funding, realistic project proposal with budget and timeline, and clear explanation of community benefit. Grants will be awarded and all applicants informed of status by June 2, 2025. Contact: 970-728-3930 or [email protected].
