About This Call
The Tubac Center of the Arts Members Open is the first exhibition of the 2020-2021 season featuring artwork from the member/artist community. This opportunity is open to TCA members only. To become a member, register at www.Tubacarts.org or call 520-398-2371.
Members must submit one original 2D or 3D artwork created within the last 24 months that has not been previously shown at TCA. The nonrefundable entry fee is $28. All work must be for sale, and TCA will retain a 40% commission. Giclee or other reproduction methods are not permitted. Images of accepted works may be used by TCA as a permanent record of the exhibition and for promotional purposes relating to the exhibition and Art Center.
Awards will be selected and presented during the Opening Reception on Friday, August 14, 2020 (5-7pm). Awards include: Best of Show ($200), Award of Excellence ($100), Award of Merit ($75), and Honorable Mention ($50, two awards). Best of Show winners will receive a group exhibition in the Studio Gallery from October 2 - November 15, 2020. The exhibition closes on Sunday, September 27, 2020. No artwork may be removed prior to closing, including sold pieces. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA. Unsold work will be shipped back after the exhibition closes; artists must provide a prepaid shipping label. Artwork left at TCA for more than 60 days after closing becomes the sole property of the Art Center.
