About This Call
Taste of the Arts — Juried Fine Arts Outdoor Exhibition is part of the 2026 Taste of Beaufort Festival taking place May 1–2, 2026 from 11 AM – 4 PM at the USCB Center for the Arts in Downtown Beaufort, SC. Under the shade of majestic live oaks, this event invites artists from South Carolina and Georgia to showcase their work during a two-day juried outdoor exhibition. More than 35 artists will be selected to display original oils, watercolors, acrylics, photography, sculpture, and more. The event offers strong regional marketing exposure, dedicated volunteer support, and an engaged audience of over 8,000 visitors throughout the weekend.
The $175 booth fee includes a 10x10 white tent space, artist reception on Friday evening, free close parking, booth-sitting assistance, air-conditioned hospitality center with snacks and water, and indoor restrooms. Artists must submit 4 digital images of recent work, 1 booth image, and an artist statement of 200 words or less. All artwork must be original and created by the exhibiting artist, with no mass-produced, resale, or AI-generated work accepted. Artists must be present and personally staff their booth during the entire festival.
Media categories include ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, metalworks, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and wood. The application deadline is January 9, 2026, with notification of acceptance on January 23, 2026, and booth fee payment due February 14, 2026. Open to artists 18 years or older residing in South Carolina or Georgia.
