Taos Fall Arts Festival Celebrates 50 Years

The Taos Fall Arts Festival celebrates 50 years of promoting visual arts and artists in Taos County. The festival began in 1974 as a venue at patrons' homes and has grown over the decades while maintaining its mission to celebrate the visual arts, encourage emerging artists, and provide a venue for artists to exhibit and market their work.

This year, artists are invited to think "outside the box" and create something completely different—something never done before and possibly never seen in the community or elsewhere. All artistic mediums are welcome. Work must be original, created within the last 24 months (exceptions considered), and not currently for sale or showing in a retail setting. All applicable work must be framed, except mediums not meant to be framed such as canvas wraps, sculpture, video, jewelry, and acrylic images. Artwork over 45" in height or length will incur an additional $15 fee at drop-off. An additional "mini" may be submitted for an additional $15.

Eligibility: Participants must be residents of Taos County or represented by a Taos County Gallery. This is an open exhibit; all submissions will be accepted, exhibited, and eligible for cash awards. Entry fee is $35.00 plus $15.00 media fee. Submit 1-2 images with your name and image title in the filename. Event dates: September 27 - October 6, 2024.
