Taos Fall Arts Festival Call for Entry

The Taos Fall Arts Festival invites artists to submit work for a juried exhibition celebrating visual arts in Taos County. The festival, now in its 48th year, takes place September 23-October 2, 2022 at the newly renovated Bataan Hall on Civic Plaza Drive.

Eligibility: Artists must be residents of Taos County, New Mexico, or represented by a Taos County gallery. All work must be original, created within the last 24 months, and not currently for sale or showing in a retail setting. The theme is "New Beginnings" and all artistic mediums are encouraged. Work must be framed unless the medium is not meant to be framed (such as canvas wraps or acrylic images). Drop-off dates are Saturday, September 17 from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday, September 18.

Entry fees are $30.00 for standard-sized pieces, $15.00 for an additional miniature piece (smaller than 14" on the longest side), and $50.00 for pieces over 45" in height. Only the main artwork and one miniature will be accepted into the show. Submissions require 1-2 high-quality images (72 ppi, RGB, maximum 5 MB, in jpg, tiff, png, or pdf format). All entries are eligible for the juried show and may receive one of 10 cash awards totaling over $5,000. Judge is Cheryl Vogel, owner of Vally House Gallery and Sculpture Garden in Dallas, TX. All entries will be displayed for sale during the 10-day festival.
