Taos Art Insurgency: The New Protagonists

Taos Art Insurgency: The New Protagonists is a national juried exhibition hosted by four Taos galleries: David Anthony Fine Art, Wilder Nightingale Fine Art, Dragonfly Blue Gallery, and Greg Moon Art of Taos. In addition to the regular juried section, each gallery will select no less than three pieces as "Director's Choice" invitational pieces.

The exhibition is open to all US-based artists 18 years and older. Entries are accepted in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, mixed media, fiber arts, digital printed media, and assemblage. Giclees are only accepted in photography and digital media. All photography and digital media prints (except Polaroid, platinum, and albumen) must have a minimum image size of 8 x 10". 2-D pieces are limited to 52" width and 72" height with framing. 3-D pieces are limited to 32" width/depth and 72" height. All works must be for sale and ready to hang or display. Works requiring glazing must use plexiglass. No substitutions are permitted for accepted works.

Entry fee is $40.00, with an additional $10.00 media fee per image over the minimum. Submit 4-8 images. The application deadline is May 16, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Show dates are to be determined. The exhibition will include a professionally printed invitation with national mailer, email announcement, website presence for selected artists, regional and national press coverage, opening reception, gallery sales staff, and exposure to collectors, curators, and publishers. Artists receive 50% of all art sales; the gallery retains 50%. All purchased works must remain in the gallery until the end of the exhibit. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance of their works.
