About This Call
The Tangled String Music and Arts Festival is a two-day extravaganza taking place at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, featuring a state-of-the-art stage, professional lighting and sound system, curated art market, concession tents, and festival field. Festival runs 11am - 11pm with artists required at booths from at least 11am - 7pm. The venue is home to over 150+ working artist studios and provides ample parking.
Accepted categories include ceramics, digital works, drawing, fiber arts, glass arts, jewelry, literary arts, metal, mixed media, musical instrument building, natural materials, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and woodworking. Artists must design and make all their wares - no resells or readymade items permitted. A jury panel of professionals and collectors will select artists based on work presented in applications. Emerging artists are accepted.
Single booth fee is $150 with 10'x10' spaces assigned on varying terrain including grass, gravel, and pavement. Electrical access available for additional $25 on limited basis. Artist amenities include access to historic facility, artist hospitality tent, booth sitters, overnight security, and indoor restrooms. Awards include Best of Show ($1000), Award of Distinction ($500), Award of Lowe Mill A&E Studio Holders ($500), and Award of Emerging Artist ($500). All award winners invited to 2026 festival. Artists must provide own tents, tables, chairs, and displays, and are responsible for cleanup and trash removal.
