Tampa International Airport 2026 Call for Artists

Tampa International Airport seeks artists to create bold, innovative public art projects for eight new locations at the airport. For more than 50 years, Tampa International Airport has been building a diverse and internationally acclaimed art collection that reflects the vibrant community. The airport invites artists to submit materials for consideration of commissions that will create moments of respite, introspection and joy for the Tampa Bay community and millions of visitors from around the world.

A wide range of forms and media for artwork will be considered, including freestanding sculpture, wall-mounted or ceiling-hung art, technology-based art and possibly functional elements. This opportunity is open to local, state, national, and international visual artists working in any medium with experience executing their ideas from concept to installation completion, meeting a specified budget and timeframe, and working in the public realm with public agencies. Artists or artist teams must have completed a commission or sold a minimum of one piece of artwork at a minimum of $15,000.
