Tampa Bay Lightning 8th Annual Call for Entry

This exhibition displays local art at Amalia Arena for the organization's estimated 1.5 million annual visitors. Over the exhibit's first seven years, more than 280 local pieces have been displayed. All artwork is for sale, with proceeds going directly to the artist. The exhibition features work selected by representatives from the Tampa Museum of Art, Museum of Fine Arts, the Ringling Museum of Art, and the Dali Museum.

Artists must live or work in the greater Tampa Bay area and may submit up to three fully completed original works. Acceptable mediums include painting, photography, drawing, and wall-hanging sculpture. Hanging artwork must be no larger than 6'x6' (including frame), and wall-hanging sculpture is limited to 7' tall. Free-standing sculpture is not accepted. Artists of all ages are welcome, with a special category for artists under 18 years of age.

Submissions are due by September 6, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified on or before September 23, 2019 of acceptance into the exhibition. The unveiling and reception will be held in late September to early October 2019. Award opportunities include: top three artists overall ($1,000 each), honorable mention (4-10) ($250 each), and top three artists under age 18 ($250 each).
