About This Call
Tampa Bay Lightning seeks art that visually celebrates Tampa Bay and its people to exude the vibrancy and energy of the community. Artists are encouraged to be creative and depict anything that inspires them locally, with preference for work that incorporates the love of hockey. Artists of all ages are welcome, with a special category for artists under 18 years of age.
Eligibility and Requirements: Artists must live or work in the greater Tampa Bay area. Each artist may submit up to three fully completed original works. All mediums are welcome, excluding free-standing sculpture. Hanging artwork must be no larger than 6'x6' (including frame). Wall-hanging sculpture is limited to 6'x6'x4", must weigh less than 50 lbs, and must be able to be anchored to the wall. Acceptable mediums include painting, photography, drawing, and wall-hanging sculpture.
Timeline: Submissions open April 22, 2016. All submissions are due by September 1, 2016. Artists will be notified on or before September 16, 2016 of acceptance into the exhibition.
