About This Call
The Downtown Long Beach Associates presents "Talent Pool 2015," an exhibition featuring the work of local Long Beach visual artists. The exhibition will be on display for one year beginning April 2015 at the Downtown Long Beach Associates office suite, located at 100 W Broadway. This exhibition will enhance the recently renovated offices and launch the new DLBA Art Program promoting local visual artists.
Selected artworks will be prominently displayed in several interior sites including large wall spaces in reception areas, conference rooms, and work areas. Artists will receive publicity and exposure to those influential in downtown Long Beach and receive an honorarium for the use of their work. The most competitive work will convey high quality fine art techniques and presentation standards and consider theme and content appropriate to the mission and work of the DLBA.
Eligibility is limited to artists residing in the city of Long Beach, California. Artwork must have been created in the last five years and be available for a one-year exhibition (April 2015 to April 2016). Acceptable media includes original artworks in traditional fine art media, photography, and sculpture, suitably framed and exhibition ready. No jewelry, video, or audio media are accepted. Submissions should include a maximum of ten digital images of artwork, an artist statement (1 page maximum, approximately 500 words), and a CV/Resume (2-page maximum). Selected artists will be notified on March 31, 2015.
