Taking Pictures: 2025

Black Box Gallery is hosting an open themed juried group photography exhibition. The show welcomes all themes, styles, and genres of photography including landscape, architecture, portraiture, documentary, fashion, still life, conceptual projects, street, color and black and white, nature, and night photography.

Juror Todd Johnson, founder and director of Black Box Gallery, holds an MFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and has 25 years of experience in arts education and curation. The exhibition will feature 24 photographs selected for display at the gallery (April 1-25, 2025) and an additional 30 photographs in the online gallery annex. All 54 photographs will be included in a catalog available for purchase on Blurb Books.

Black Box Gallery provides free printing, matting, and framing for all selected work. Prints are produced on an Epson Stylus Pro archival inkjet printer on Epson Premium Luster Photo paper in a color-calibrated environment. Selected photographers must provide high-resolution TIFF or JPEG files. Exhibition prints are retained in the gallery's flat file after the show for ongoing promotion and sales. Black Box Gallery takes a 50% commission on sales, with 50% going to the photographer. All rights remain with the photographer, and no sales or printing occur without prior consent. Entry fee is $40. Photographers may submit 1-5 images. The deadline is March 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Open to international photographers.
