Take in the Local Color! Lubbock's Artist Studio Tour 2017

The 21st Take in the Local Color! Lubbock's Artist Studio Tour takes place November 11-12, 2017. This exhibition is open to full-time residents of Lubbock County. Participating artists must exhibit original works of art completed within the last 24 months and be present in their studio location during both days of the event. Each artist is responsible for setup, takedown, and any breakage or loss during the show.

Entry fees are $150 for Lubbock Arts Alliance members or $190 for non-members. Artists opening their studio or home for the event pay $125 (members) or $165 (non-members). No refunds are provided for cancellations. Artists are responsible for their own sales transactions and sales tax, and must provide a sales tax permit or number prior to the event. The Studio Tour does not take a percentage of sales.

All work must be juried into the show. If exhibiting multiple media types, images of each medium must be submitted and will be juried separately. Media categories include: Painting, Ceramics/Pottery, Glass, Jewelry, Fiber, Metal, or Other. Selected artists must provide at least two images for publicity purposes by September 1, 2017. Host studios must accommodate up to 5-6 additional juried artists and provide adequate display space for both 2-D and 3-D work. Artists cannot be placed in basements, lofts, or areas accessed by stairs. Host studios are encouraged to provide demonstrations and local music performances.
